New Position on the Council

After 2 days sick from work I came back to an E-mail that told me I was elected by the executive committee to be the chairman of the Community Outreach Committee. I'm really looking forward to this position since I will be able to not only interact with people on site but also people out in public and be able to hopefully do some good things. I always wanted to do more stuff like this when I taught at the school but my boss was not much into doing things for the community at large unless he saw some type of big pay off. I'm a little worried because they also told me at today's council meeting that I was to have an estimated budget for the rest of the year for review by next Tues. If anyone has any ideas on ways to get involved with the community please post. Thanks and wish me luck.

I'm Sick

Crap. Now I've got it. I don't know what it is, but it sure sucks. My throat is CRAZY soar, and my nose is stuffed up and I have a head ache. So I guess that is it. And, I've got it. I feel like the E-bay commercial. Do you think you could sell a cold on E-bay. Or maybe chicken pox. You know like those parents that throw parties so all the other kids will get chicken pox while they are still young. Maybe I'm on to something. Anyways I hate being sick. I've called into work 2 days now and I can't stand just sitting at home. I'm going to work tomorrow if I feel better or not. Yes I'm going to be one of those people that goes to work even when they should be at home and gets everyone else at work sick. Damn what a bastard. Oh well. Wow that felt pretty good to vent out all of my "I'm sick cooped up in the house" energy. Hope it was entertaining. If no,t to late to make up for it now. No Refunds or Exchanges. Better luck next time.

What's up

So not a whole lot new this week. went out drinking on Tues and had a good time playing pool. My freinds on the other hand decided that 1 o'clock just wasn't late enough so they proceeded down the road to the curve where they almost got arrested, good job guys.
I'm working the door at Brown's of course Sat. night so come on down and keep me company. I'm looking forward to Spring finally showing up and I can start running and biking outside more. Would anyone be interested in getting together for some Beach volleyball? I'll let you know how the weekend goes sunday.

Busy Weekend

So Saturday I went out with a group of friends for a friends B-day. It was a good time. She got way to drunk way to fast so we had to cut her off after the second bar. But she was so drunk that she still had a good time.

Then we went to Denny's. WOW was that interesting. We had 7 people and they seated us relatively quickly for a busy sat. night after the bars closed. But then we placed our order and it took them an hour and me going and talking to the manager before they brought or food out, and one of the girls order a sundae that she had already gotten and another didn't order at all, so that is only 5 orders actually. Then when the waitress was unloading her tray she knocked half of or food on the ground. Then there was a hair in one of the guys burgers. It took another 20 minutes to get the replacement food from the stuff she knocked over. And after all that, they didn't even offer to give us any incentive not to hate them, expect not making the guy with the hair in his burger pay. We where pissed and even then they didn't really care.

Sunday we went to the Titanic exhibit in St. Louis, with Lauren's boss and his girlfriend. That was a lot of fun. And now back to the everyday drone of life. Oh by the way I closed on the house we used to live in. So one down one to go. Still looking for a roommate if anyone knows one.

Hey I think I might actually legitimately close on my old house I used to live in this Friday. That will be a really stress relief if only I could get the big one I built sold. I also went swimming this morning and forgot how much work swimming is. It really kicked my ass, I felt like a drowning cat. Finally if any of your guys know any friends of ours looking for a roommate. I know of someone out here who is looking for a roommate right now. So let me know.

Good Old Brown's

Good times where had by one and all at Brown's last night. I had plenty of friends to keep me company which always makes the night alot more fun. It was just one of those night where everyone seemed pleasantly happy. I love nights like that when everyone is just out having a good time getting drunk and acting stupid. Amanda, I guess you had your fun Friday night. I hope your feeling better by now. I switched nights with K so I could take a friend out for a birthday drunkfest. Hopefully alot of you will be out and we can all get drunk together. I'll see everyone on Friday.

Nothing Happening

Not a whole lot is happening with me right now. I think the guy that took over my house payments to remodel it and then buy it outright or sell it is trying to screw me around. So I'm really stressed out about that. We where supposed to close back in like frebruary and we still haven't. I would really like to get that and the other really expensive house I built sold so I can get them of my credit report and maybe consider getting a new car. Work is pretty lame but we did get tues of because of the snow and last monday off ofcourse because of the tornado. I love working at a place that has snow days how cool is that.

Lincoln Land Diversity Council

So if you didn't know I joined the Lincoln Land Diversity Council at work. I am one of only 20 members in the core council (including the head of the Springfield Wells Fargo Division). I'm extra excited today though because I was ask to chair committee. The monthly activities committee. It is a pretty active committee and I'm really looking forward to it. I really excited that I got chosen since I haven't been a member for very long. I had to ask someone today how to schedule a conference room for a meeting. Wish me luck!

Contacts SUCK

So I got contacts to fix my aparrntly screwed up vision. How do you people do it every morning. It takes me like 20 minutes just to get them in my eye. i get so frustrated. I think I might just wear glasses. I haven't decided yet. I am sure not like this though.

Summer Vacation

One of Those Days

Ever have one of those days when your really, really busy but you fell like you get nothing accomplished the entire day. It's like your running on a treadmill. You are constantly doing something, but you don't seem to be getting any where. Well today was one of those days for me. I hate days like this. At work today I put all of my other stuff a side just so I could work on this REALLY big deal we will being doing soon. So I didn't get any of my usual stuff done and I only got prep work for the stuff we aren't doing yet done. Prep work which may or may not even help us get the future deal done any sooner or easier. What a day.

Learning how to blog

So I'm starting to learn how to do this whloe blog thing. It is interesting. I'm sure no one will be reading these for a while. But I think I like it. If anyone was wondering about that "family Resturaunt" that took over the old Steak & Shake on 6th street don't bother it is bad. We went today and they didn't have anything. I wanted the Rueben and they didn't have saurkraute, and their soda machine was broken, and then we wanted some crouisant sandwiches and they didn't have crouisants, and then the food wasn't that good. I give it 1 star and that was only because the server was really nice.

So I finally got a Blog of my own. I was felling left out of the loop when I called Amanda and found out that I didn't know something important and everyone else did because I didn't check peoples blogs. So, I started reading them and decided I wanted to make a coment and found out I needed a blog of my own to post. So here it is. Nothing special yet but I'll work on it.
